Trackd® Supporting Musicians to Earn a New Income via FanEconomy

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, TUESDAY 15TH DECEMBER 2020 — Trackd®, the new music platform on the block backed by Founder of NBC’s Songland Dave Stewart. With Trackd Discover, music lovers get access to ad-free music, a global independent library of music with the ability to directly interact with their favourite musicians. Fans can comment, chat, and pay artists using ChipIn™ to show their appreciation as well as ‘JumpIn™’ and become an artist themselves - allowing them to remix their favourite songs directly from within the app!

For artists, Trackd Create is an everywhere and on-the-go recording studio in your pocket. Simple yet powerful tools allow for no-fuss, professional-quality music recording, collaboration, social sharing, and a pathway to make an income from their music.

Much like the popular apps OnlyFans and Patreon, Trackd allows solo musicians, bands, producers, and lyricists to write, record, and promote their creations - and remain 100% in control of their work. The perfect Christmas present for many artists, fans, and musicians across the world right now is the solution that Trackd will introduce to them - a studio, a money stream, and a promotional tool that provides philanthropic support.

The latest version of the app has just been released to allow cash-strapped artists, from all genres to attract fans and encourage them to support through ChipIn™, a much-needed revenue channel for artists.

The music industry has been hit hard this year by Coronavirus which continues to blindside so many industries. Cancellations of events, gigs, tours, and limited travel have affected everyone from Madonna through to Louis Tomlinson, and artists have been speaking out about their experiences of not being able to record, perform or do the thing they love to do the most - create music for entertainment purposes.

Just some of the artists currently using Trackd to earn a living are:

Otto, our Trackd songwriter winner of 2020 who won a $6,000 prize and has since been signed with Eurythmics’s Dave Stewart’s label - Bay Street Records
•The hip hop collective emerging band LOOPRAT from St. Louis

Otto said: “I’ve just released a brand new single called ‘Tell Me Something’ thanks to the collaboration side of things with Trackd. Trackd have just started a brand new feature, whereby if you are an artist you can have your listeners send you funds directly through your profile through ChipIn™.”
LOOPRAT said: “We are an emerging band from St. Louis, Missouri that blends many styles to create a truly unique sound. We are fronted by 3 MCs and a singer and backed by a four-piece ensemble on drums, bass, saxophone and guitar. We draw influence from hip-hop, soul, jazz, R&B and spoken word. Navi-gating COVID-19 with such a large group forced the band to pivot, tabling a live-tracked album that was in the works, for a mixtape which features different solo and collaborative tracks from the collective of musicians. “Locked in the Lab,” LOOPRAT’s upcoming mixtape will be out early 2021.

“We are stoked by the new and improved version of the Trackd app, and hope to connect with listeners and musicians across the globe via the platform.”

The nature of this project perfectly embodies LOOPRAT’s connection to Trackd. As a band that hasn’t been able to work with each other in person consistently due to the pandemic, finding creative ways to collaborate has been the name of the game.

Trackd prides itself on its leverage of social media to create a space for artists to collaborate and promote worldwide music, just by using their phone.

Trackd Founder Russell Sheffield and his brother Justin are heirs to the renowned Trident Studios, London, United Kindgdom and commented: “We come from a family that oozes musical passion. Our Father, Norman Sheffield and his brother Barry created Trident Studios London as a hub for innovation inmusic - an alternative to the ‘lab’ mentality of rival Abbey Road. They attracted major influential artists such as David Bowie, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Lou Reed, Elton John, Queen and the list goes on.

“Making music in this digital world is a little different to the days of Trident, and bedroom artists like Billie Eilish, Finneas O'Connell and Blossoms are seeing more opportunities to record, collaborate and share their music on social media with the world. Trackd captures the true essence of collaborations, and the ability for an artist from Nashville to record vocals with a guitarist from Stockholm, throwing in a drum solo with someone from Ireland. Trackd provides artists with the ability to share ideas with the entire world, engaging with fans and listeners all in one place.

“Our passion for music runs through our veins. This app is a mega mover and together, we want to ensure that the future of the music industry is in the hands of the artists, especially with the revolutionary technology of ChipIn.”

Trackd’s fast-growing base is already in over 161 countries including the UnitedStates and continues to disrupt the music industry globally, plus it is now readily available to download from the App Store for FREE.

Trackd History:
Trackd has a heritage in music. In 1968, brothers Norman and Barry Sheffield opened Trident Studios London as a hub for innovation in music - an alternative to the ‘lab’ mentality of rival Abbey Road. Attracting major, influential artists such as David Bowie, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Lou Reed, Elton John and Queen.

Trident was the world’s first 8 track studio. When Trident Studios was founded in 1968, it became home for some of the greatest artists of all time. Within the soundproofed walls of the Soho studio, the Sheffield brothers created a space that became a melting pot of talent. A go-to spot for up and coming musicians laying down enduringly brilliant songs. Read more here: https://www.trackdmusic.com/our-story/
