DAVE STEWART OF THE EURYTHMICS STARTS MUSIC CREATION INITIATIVE FOR ARTISTS UNDER LOCKDOWN
Competition launch to benefit artists in lockdown

London, United Kingdom, MONDAY 6th April — Dave Stewart, legendary music hall of famer has teamed with a digital music platform encouraging artists to use downtime to make something great. Stewart is a known champion of upcoming artists and a finder of undiscovered gems. Creator of NBC’s Songland Stewart has joined Trackd to  launch a competition. Dave will be releasing a new song through the Trackd platform on Wednesday 8th of April and will be inviting artists on the platform to collaborate with him. He will be choosing his winner and collaborator on the 21st of April.

Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics is an early adopter of Trackd and a champion of young talent said ““using Trackd now for eight track recordings and mixing reminds me of making ‘Sweet Dreams ( Are Made of This)’ which I recorded and produced on a 8-track tape recorder back in the day.  If the song is great you don’t need more than eight tracks. Trackd is becoming a go to collaboration community and I can’t wait to hear what comes. I will be putting up a track and making it public. I'll be looking for a great vocalist with great melody ideas! I will choose a collaborator on April 10th and we’ll make something special, the chosen collaborator will get £5,000 from me towards releasing the finished track independently so, stay indoors and get busy “

Trackd is currently offering users free upgrades to their premium software to allow users the ability to make the most of working from home. It also allows listeners the ability to keep up to date with new releases and the ability to explore new music for free.

In bleak times for independent musicians, digital companies like Trackd are  providing some good news. Trackd is an app that allows users to record music straight from their phone and edit and upload all within the same platform. The app also prides itself on its leverage of social media to create a space for artists to collaborate worldwide through their phone. It's a great tool for allowing artists to communicate, stay creative and collaborative whilst working from home.
